Safety standard

1) Japanese Industrial Standards

All of our crayons are manufactured in Japan in compliance with JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards). The JIS standardizes crayon’s strength and durability, etc. 

2) European Standards

Our safety standards have met and been certified by Europe Toy Standards & Regulations, EN71-3:2013 (Safety of toys Part 3 2013),  one of the strictest safety standards in the world.

What is EN71-3:2013? 

EN71-3:2013 is the safety requirement that came into effect on July 20,2013 in accordance with the EU Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC). This standard applies to any toys intended to be used by children under 14 years of age in the EU.  EN71 is classified into Part1 to Part 13, and all our crayons have met Part 3: Migration of certain elements which confirms that heavy metals from toy materials do not affect health through contact or accidental ingestion. 

3) US Standards

Our products are tested and certified to comply with all applicable rule, bans, regulations, and standards enforced by the CPSC.

CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission)

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission is an independent agency of the United States government. The CPSC seeks to promote the safety of consumer products by addressing “unreasonable risks” of injury; developing uniform safety standards; and conducting research into product-related illness and injury
